Schoolovision 2010 Voting for the very best song Iceland got the trophy
2009 - 2010
This morning in Rome, Schoolovision was awarded 1st prize in the under 15 category of the Global Junior Challenge competition.
Obviously I am absolutely delighted, and it was a pleasure to be there, with the Italian partner, Ilaria, as we collected our Statue of the Wolf from the Mayor of Rome. Many, many thanks again for making the project such an outstanding success! We are all champions....officially now! :-) Michael and Ilaria!
Michael Purves:
We are involved in several eTwinning projects, all of which you can access from my own class´ blog, which links us to both Finland and Denmark. Its url is http://crossroadsofcultures.blogspot.com . I am responsible for maintaining the blogs that all classes have and for finding partners. I love eTwinning, as it´s a great chaance to meet other teachers across Europe, and more importantly, it opens up new horizons for the children, and allows them to have a lot of fun. Description: “Schoolovision 2009”- 2009 is the European Year of Creativity and Innovation, so, following a similar format to the Eurovision Song Contest, this year taking place in Moscow on 16th May 2009, Schoolovision will allow one primary school from all eTwinning countries wishing to participate, to record, video and upload a song of their choice, to be viewed by all other participants in the project. In addition, all countries will be asked to evaluate and vote for their favourite songs after they have watched and listened to all the others- and of course, voting for yourself will not be allowed! Under the rules of the project, you and your class will have until Friday 8th May to decide upon your song, practise it, video it, and get it uploaded onto the project blog website, using either the video upload section within www.blogger.com, or by using google video. Once all songs are uploaded, you will need to get your class to listen to all the other countries' entries and decide who will receive your “Top Five” votes. This should be done in the week from Monday 11th May until Friday 15th May. On Friday 15th May, you should send your Top Five votes to the project coordinator, Michael Purves, by email. During the weekend, and certainly before Monday 18th May, the results will all be posted onto the blog, so that you will be able to see who the winner of the project is when you arrive in school on Monday 18th May! Full details of the rules of the project will be issued to all schools taking part, by Michael Purves. |
